Table Z – Fees for applications and reviews in Serious Sex Offender (Detention and Supervision) Act proceedings
Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) may make a grant of legal assistance to a person for an application for or review of a detention order by the Director of Public Prosecutions or a Supervision Order by the Secretary to the Department of Justice pursuant to the Serious Sex Offenders (Detention and Supervision) Act 2009 in accordance with the following table.
These fees are effective from 1 October 2011.For fees payable in matters prior to this date, see Costs payable in criminal law matters in the VLA Handbook (September 2011).

These fees are claimed using the Miscellaneous crime – tables J, T, Y and Z tax invoice.
VLA will allow additional claims for fees for additional preparation by counsel with VLA’s advance approval.
