Table A1(i) – Consolidated rate fees in summary criminal proceedings prior to 18 January 2011
Table A1(i) sets out the consolidated rate fees payable by VLA for appearances conducted prior to prior to 18 January 2011 in:
- summary proceedings in the Criminal Division of the Children’s Court
- summary criminal proceedings in the Magistrates’ Court.
These fees are claimed using the Consolidation of charges in summary criminal proceedings in the Magistrates' and Children's Courts – Table A1(i) tax invoice.

| Contest mention VLA will pay an appearance fee only if, on the available evidence, the assisted person:

$208 for each necessary appearance. However, if the lawyer appears in more than one contest mention for the same client on the same day, then VLA will pay only one contest mention fee. |
