Table C2 – Lump sum fees for bail applications in the County Court
Table C2 sets out the fees payable by VLA in bail applications in the County Court effective from 18 January 2011 to 30 June 2011. The fees set out in this table cover all necessary work, including preparation and appearances. No additional claims will be allowed.
The hourly rate is based on $149 per hour. This is 80 per cent of the midpoint between solicitor and counsel rates in County Court Civil Scale B (contained in County Court Civil Procedure Rules 2008 – Appendix A).
For the fees payable in bail applications in the County Court prior to 18 January 2011 see Table D1 in Fee Schedule 7.

Circuit fees
If a lawyer advocate does not practice in the circuit town, then VLA will also pay circuit fees, as set out in Table NN – Circuit fees for committals and bail, pleas and appeals in the County Court and solicitor out-of-office fees for trials.
