Table F – Lump sum fees for County Court and Supreme Court stage of an indictable crime matter
Table F sets out the fees payable by VLA for all indictable crime matters at the County Court or Supreme Court stage. See also: Principles applying to payment of fees for the County or Supreme court stage of an indictable crime matter.
These fees are claimed using the County and Supreme court stage of an indictable crime matter (Table F) claim for lump sum fee tax invoice.
Transitional provisions for existing grants of legal assistance
Appearances
Where a practitioner has a grant of legal assistance in place prior to 18 January 2011 for any stage of an indictable matter, the fees applicable for appearances prior to 18 January 2011 will be the old fees (see links below). The fees applicable for appearances made on or after 18 January 2011 will be the new fees, detailed in the tables below.
Preparation
Where a practitioner has obtained grant of legal assistance for a matter prior to 18 January 2011 that has not finalised (except for sentence/judgment), the practitioner is entitled to the total preparation payable as if the initial grant was made on or after 18 January 2011, less any preparation components previously paid.
Matters prior to 18 January 2011
For the fees payable in the County Court or Supreme Court stage of an indictable crime matter where the Magistrates’ Court stage ended prior to 18 January 2011 see the applicable table in Fee Schedule 7:
